To me the Lsu win finished a distant second to seeing bama loose. I live in a part of the world where the Evil Empire is strong and seen constantly. A Bama loss is a rare and truly special event worthy of celebration. I want them to feel some of the pain they inflicted on us after last weeks win. It had to hurt far worst with a national championship on the line. I couldn't be happier. Don't forget to call every Gump pain In the arse and do like I am doing wear a Texas AM shirt.

I already won $20 from a gump. That sob made me a bet that bama would come back an win yesterday after getting down 20. Being a betting man I took him up on it. Yeah wasn't easy to watch a&m almost lose it but damn I think that is the best 20.00 I ever won. Frick dem gumps

Yes, remembering 1/9, we definitely know the pain.

Living in Pensacola, I now have two favorite teams. If the majority of the bama fans weren't so damn arrogant around here I truly would not have an issue with them, but they are so they can go frick em.

I was going to start a thread but ill just add to this. I definitely enjoyed their loss a little more than the win. The amount of "fans" that called into the WWL postgame and that I've heard at work tonight that were bummed Bama lost was sickening. The worst part was that they were defending Saban in a loss, while they were throwing Miles under the bus as quick as they could.

Their excuse for wanting Bama to go undefeated was "well now LSU won't walk into the Sugar Bowl"...

No real LSU fan wants Bama to win another MNC. Its obvious these people are closeted Bama fans or just want to nest under Saban's sack.

Before that game I had convinced myself that the best thing for LSU was for Bama to win out and for LSU to be the only team that gave them a close game.

However, I thoroughly enjoyed watching Bama go down. I've decided that a gump loss, any gump loss, is just too much fun to pass up. If Bama somehow makes it to the NC game this year I'll be pulling for K-State, Oregon or if necessary, ND (never thought I would say that).

Re-read the post and must add this modification. Any Saban loss is too much fun to pass up. If Saban goes to Dallas, i still won't like the gumps, but it won't be as much fun watching them lose.

Just had another thought. If the A&M loss keeps Bama out of the NC game and Saban leaves for Dallas, then the gumps will, in one game have gone from the top of the football mountain to the valley of uncertainty and possible mediocrity again. Might be fun to watch that melt down.

This is ridiculous! True LSU fans should be more interested in your own teams fortunes. I would guess that if you were in Tiger Stadium last night you would have preferred to be home watching Bama lose, right? It seems that was the case with the many so called "fans" that left early.

You guys are gonna be in for a reality check when KState & Notre Dame go down over the next few weeks. We've all seen time & again what happens when one of these pretenders gets the #1 spot. They can't handle the pressure & fold up like a cheap tent.

Exactly. We saw it yesterday from Alabama.

No "might" about it. It would be pure entertainment.

If "hate" for another team/school/coach is one of the main ingredients for a rivalry, then based on this thread alone, I'd say it is clear to anybody who still wonders: Alabama is LSU's #1 rival at the moment, and counting...

Give it a rest. It was great watching LSU win, but beating Miss. St. again is a little anti-climactic.

The only reason that we enjoy Bama losses so much is precisely because we are LSU fans. I'm getting a little tired of the personal attacks on this board. The only reason that people read and post on these boards is because they are fans and want to write and talk about it.

Agreed. The attacks come from two sources:
1. Immature or insecure posters.
2. People with nothing positive or useful to add.

It hurt. But beating you guys meant we get a shot at #23 in Atlanta and if we're lucky like last year we get another shot at the crystal football. If not we get to go beat up on ND in the Sugar bowl. Not a bad year, imo. I want to destroy the lucky Irish. Its in our DNA.

That's not it, though. You are a negative fan, and you're criticizing positive fans. Positive fans want their team to win and don't care about much else. Negative fans root against teams. I'm probably 70% positive. I still root against USC and ND because they are overrated consistently. But if a team beats us? Once the game's over I'm not rooting against them. And if you think Bama fans are bad, wait until TAMU starts having success. That's a cult, dude, a cult I'm telling you!

That's the difference between Bama fans and LSU fans. And is quite pathetic, really. And it's "lose".
