I like Sam's steaks and veal (lamb chops and rib racks at the Kenner store). I bought a sirloin tip roast from there and noticed they had select grade and choice grade, which cost more. Is Wally's choice grade?

They know that the people that shop at walmart don't give a shite.
But the people that shop at Sams are looking for a good value.

I was at sam's today. The only thing I don't like about that store. After you check out you have to wait in line at the exit. Drives me crazy.

Wally's now carries choice and select. But, the few times I've bought choice from Wally's (ribeye and NY Strip) it was by far the worst cuts of meat I've ever purchased.

my mom makes prime rib for Christmas, she gets it at Sam's and damn it's always fantastic quality

I can only guess that Sam's has a different kind of customer than Wal Mart. For one you have to pay to be a member, and not everyone is going to pay $50/year (or whatever it is now).

Because Sam's is an elitist club that discriminates against people by not giving access to premium meats.

Market research, I would presume. Sam's probably has a customer base that's a bit more discerning. Sam's also has to compete very directly with Costco. There is nothing similar to WalMart, really.

I bet the walmart staff asks the sams staff to bring the meat to the company bbq.

the walmart people bring the sam's choice cola.

For some stuff yes like their chuck roasts and individual steaks. But they also offer prepackaged ribs, tenderloins, rib roasts and other meats that are far superior in quality to Walmart's prepackaged meats. I love that Sam's offers pork shoulders and ribs that are unenhanced without the saline solution. Most of prepackaged meats at a regular grocery store comes "enhanced" with a saline solution injected into the meat.

Walmarts meat comes in pre-cut and pre-packaged. SAMs has several meat cutters and package and cut as needed

Not for everything. Most of their ribs and whole pieces of tenderloin and rib roasts and also briskets come in prepackaged. Also most of their pork shoulders.

I buy the 4pk of filets for about 25$ at Sams every month and they are great. Won't touch another Walmart steak.
