If LaTech wins out they might finish in the top 12

That is a joke. If they think Alabama deserve to be #1 then LSU should at least remain in top 5 with their Saturday performance.

That's not much of a drop, nor should it be. We had to drop a little since we now have 2 losses, but LSU is the top 2 loss team.

Everyone that watches the game knows we are a Top 5 team. It's just not fair to the other teams. When it comes to quality...

Alabama won
LSU lost

We dominated but lost. If a "win was a win" in 2009-2010 when we were repeatedly out played. Guess what? That means a "loss is a loss" now.

Somehow, after all the preseason hype and the early #1 rankings and all, I find this "top 2 loss team" thing to be far less than gratifying.

Well they beat #5 in their house. So they get credit. ND on the other hand, struggling against Pitt and BYU at home is a different story.

Agreed. I didn't mean it as a moral victory. There are no moral victories for a top 5 program like LSU.

College Football News has us at #4 after the Alabama loss.
We might have actually moved up there...

It's going to be Alabama - ND because that's what espn wants. It'll take some gerrymandering to get it there, but tv owns cfb now
