Am I the only one who doesn't like that they are doing this? The towel thing is gimmicky, and it's something other schools do. The reason why Death Valley is so loud is because we don't wave anything. We cup both hands around our mouth and yell.

Sure, it probably looks cool on TV. But the absence of towels or Pompoms the reason Tiger Stadium is much louder than Bryant-Denny or any other venue in the country.

Are they expecting 30k bama fans? If we are gonna pass out towels why not get 90k?

No. This is not the reason. Towels or Pom poms will not make a difference in how loud TS will be Nov. 3

As already stated, they will mostly make for towel bombs(soak towel in toilet water, piss, barf, etc..then launch)

Negative. Watch our players, Sam Montgomery feed off the crowd and they feed off him. Tiger fans aren't dumb, they realize that they honestly have a say in the outcome of the game. You get 92000 Cajun/Rednecks that love their football and put them in a stadium, they'll scream until they go deaf.

This board needs to retain a gynecologist, because it has turned into one big vagina this week.

It's all based on the Terrible Towel of the Steelers. It was invented by a neighbor of mine in Pittsburgh at the time - Myron Cope (RIP). He considered it to mostly be a joke and was shocked at how big it became. Didn't know him well but a very nice guy.

And yeah, it's lame for LSU but not as lame as the Pom-poms that supposed males from Alabama are fond of waiving.

Especially since these same males will keep the same pom poms for years..and wear them around in their back pockets

No kidding. I really don't understand the infatuation with these goddamn towels. You wanna wave it great. You don't want to wave it, great. You want to wipe your arse with it or use it as a fap towel, fantastic.

But everything has to be bitched about like a bunch of frickin women that need a new tampon.

Well, I am both, so let me get my TOWEL on!!! I have some slight hormonal problems as a result though...

What might be lamer than this is people acting like it's the end of the world. Don't take it if you don't want it, throw it on the ground, wipe your azz with it, put it between your legs and catch your period, do what you will... Everything will be okay - we're still all going to have a good time. It's cool if you don't like it. LSU's just trying something that they have done before. This isn't the first time and they're not doing it every game.

Doomaflochie - funny!
