It doesn't make your point. That IS what is next. You honestly think the U.N. is going to stop once we start giving those bastards more power and start surrendering our sovereignty?

Wait, what? Where'd they directly state this?
The group is affiliated with the United Nations. It's called the Organization for Security and Cooperation. And it's been monitoring United States elections for the better part of a decade now, but this time around, liberal activists are coordinating with these guys to watch for any hint of voter suppression by conservatives.

GREG ABBOTT, TEXAS ATTORNEY GENERAL: The liberal activists you need to know include Project Vote. Project Vote is an affiliate of ACORN, the now disgraced organization that was involved in voter fraud. And we need to make sure in Texas we don't have ACORN-style voter fraud taking place and we don't take any kind of shine to this European group thinking they can come in and monitor elections in the state of Texas.

The UN absolutely needs to observe these elections. I heard that the KKK is planning to set black women on fire when they try and vote.

I pray that a UN Observer approaches me when I go vote. Please Lord, please let one of these UN bastards say something. Please, please, please, please.

Good for Texas.

This election is going to be so ugly either way it goes.

No poll watcher, including any from the UN, are allowed to approach you.

UN, you get problem with that. You know what you should do. You should sanction me. Sanction me with your army. Oh! wait a minute! You don't have an army! So I guess that means you need to shut the frick up! That's what would I do if I don't have an army, I would shut the frick up. (leans towards microphones on the podium) Shut. The. frick. UP!. That's right! Kofi Annan, I ain't takin' orders from an African. You might speak sixteen languages, but you gonna need them when you in Times Square selling fake hats.

I can't believe there are actually people on this topic who are okay with the UN monitoring our elections. This is really scary.

I'm trying to figure why the liberals in this thread are actually trying to condone this action. I would think every redblooded American would be pissed at the thought of the UN doing anything to intervene with our government

The U.N. has no intervention powers.
Observing =/= Intervening.
Even Hugo Chavez allowed U.N. inspector to observe Venezuelan elections. How sad that Chavez believes in a more transparent democratic process than the governor of an American state. Besides, the U.S. is always contributing people to the U.N.'s inspector teams in other countries. SHouldn't we be willing to reciprocate in a show of good faith? I'm beginning to think that Rick Perry has something to hide.

The U.N., with American consent and participation, has been observing elections all around the world for years. This isn't anything new.
