Hurry-up offense early against Bama. Advantageous?

With the lack of production in the first few series of the past couple of games, would this be something to consider?

This might have been discussed before, but I haven't been on here that much. I searched, but saw nothing specifically on Bama.

I would like to see LSU score early and keep them on there heels a little.

Thoughts?

After some thought and reflection, I would like this as well.

not something you can learn in 2 weeks. This will end up costing LSU in penalties more than it will help. You have to have an O'line that is well conditioned to stay on the field for long periods of time.

I know everyone would want this. Just I read an article where Saban doesn't like the hurry up and got me wondering if it would be to LSU's advantage.

It seems like this would be practiced often in case of close games

I think LSU would be better off "wearing down" bama's D the old fashioned way... Run right at them and huddle

Quick 3 and outs will not help the defense rest. LSU would be better served to use as much clock as possible when on offense. This will give their defense more rest on the sidelines.

I think it would help Mett more. "Don't think meat just throw".

If our "hurry up" only includes running up to the LOS on 2nd down just to run that horrid toss dive play, let's not.

My only concern is that we get behind early and have to play catch up. I just hope there's a quick score early, as i'm sure every other LSU fan does.

Honestly, I don't even care if we score early.

We just need to move the ball and pick up some first downs. Keep Bama's defense on their heels and keep the crowd in the game. Points won't come easily in this game so as long as our offense shows some sign of life and we don't let Bama get too far ahead early, I'll feel pretty comfortable.

Exactly my thoughts, I see Bama coming at us hard to get Mett off early. Some quick passes would help and the fact that Bama can't substitute would keep their D honest. Anyway I just hope we don't have to play to catch up.

They need to take that stupid toss dive out of the playbook and burn it.

We may need to consider delay of game penalties to try and stretch our three plays till commercials, so our D doesn't all simultaneously cramp up after living on the field
