re: Saban benefits from the BCS format - bhart99
Serious questin....How do you truly know how good of a coach he is when his teams talent outmatches the opposition every time. Think about this for a second. The teams that have beaten Bama over the past 3 years have what in common? LSU's talent is comparable to Bama's. They beat Bama i...

re: Nick Saban, great coach or great recruiter? - bhart99
He's the best college coach I've ever seen personally. His schtick doesn't work in the nfl, but is right on line for college.
He shite doesn't work in the pros because a draft prevents him from getting the best players in the pros. When are people gonna realize this? Its not ...

re: The sec streak will go to 10+ - bhart99
This is a pretty valid point...at the same time when you have defenses as good as some of the SEC schools, you will not need as much time to prepare.
Texas A&M says hi. ...

re: The sec streak will go to 10+ - bhart99
Also once the playoff format comes into play I expect Oregon if Chip Kelly stays to break through for NC's. Oregon's scheme can be slowed down with lots of time to prepare. In a playoff format there's less time to prepare. ...

re: Saban benefits from the BCS format - bhart99
Chip runs the best scheme in college football. Yes Saban has good defenses but it's more because of talent than scheme. Saban puts 5 defensive players in the pros every year. Kelly might put 1 a season....

re: Saban benefits from the BCS format - bhart99
I think Chip Kelly is a better coach. I know the first thing you will say is 4 national championships to none but Chip does the most with the cards he's dealt. He never has good recruiting rankings. Just look this season....Oregon ranks 45 in recruiting. They'll probably play for a national ch...

re: Nick Saban, great coach or great recruiter? - bhart99
Congrats. Did you just start watching sports? The NFL and CFB are completely different sports practically. Many coaches don't make the transition well. There's also an absolute shitload of successful college players that aren't successful at the pro level.
I didn't realize we w...

re: Saban benefits from the BCS format - bhart99
Saban benefits from the fact that in the current format he has 30+ days to prepare for a game, and NO ONE can beat him if you give him that much time to pick your team apart
Nah..sorry. Saban benefits from having the best players in the nation. ...

re: The steroids are obviously better in the south and SEC - bhart99
It's really more about race than anything. There's no doubt people in the North are smarter so they chose to use their brain instead of their body. They're less intelligent people in the South so they have no other options of being successful except for sports. ...

Saban benefits from the BCS format - bhart99
People sit here and try to compare this supposed dynasty to previous ones. This is something to just consider. Without the BCS format in 2009 Texas would have likely played in the Fiesta while Bama would have played in the Sugar. If both would have won their bowl games which would have been li...

re: Nick Saban, great coach or great recruiter? - bhart99
Saban was far from garbage in the NFL as a HC especially in light of the fact that the Dolphins were in a rebuilding stage when he was there. Saban didn't go to a franchise with talent on deck
Ok but if i'm not mistaken Saban's first year at Bama when he didn't have any talent on d...
