I get the rock-star hate but I just checked out his stats.

It would have been nice to have pinned them back deeper on a couple but overall was good, especially with the windy conditions.

Punted some bombs... even against the wind.

just seems like he is not downing the ball inside the 10 nearly as much as he did last year...

The pinning inside the 20 issue. He misses TM7. You guys remember how many balls he would get to before they got to the endzone. We don't have anyone doing that this year.

He average at best, most of the time this year anyway.
The "rock star" thing is what pisses me off, and I'm sure many others. When your absolutely stellar one year, then just ok the next, makes you wonder if he needs to humble up.

He read a little too much of his preseason hype...I think lots of guys on this team did....
Still....they have the world by the arse and can create their destiny this year...

He had some bombs, but when trying to pin them inside their own 20 he either went deep and it was a touchback or it was short and at the 30. Still not a bad punter by all means, but hes just not himself right now.

we also had probably the two best gunners in college football in TM7 and Ron Brooks. Those two not getting down on the return man makes a HUGE difference.

Punts the ball into the endzone for touchbacks way too much. Hang time isn't what it used to be. Also has had some really short kicks. Just very inconsistent.
