James Hairston is a DAMN strong leader

especially for just being a kicker. in the florida game, he was the ONLY one standing up on the sidelines trying to get our fans into the game....fist pumping and giving it his all...now before this game, he gives an emotional pre-game speech that put some of our tigers in tears...what a leader!

(you can ignore the caption saying he kicked the game winning FG vs bama last year )

I was right behind the Tiger bench, and he was constantly trying to motivate his guys, especially Wing & Alleman after their miscues

Agree. We were seven rows up directly behind the bench at FL. While almost all of the players seemed shell-shocked, he kept walking up to them trying to fire them up. Was quite impressed.

"This is a family," said linebacker Lamin Barrow,
NO WAY!!! There were multiple reports prior to the season about how divided this team was an nobody did anything with anyone else!!!!!!!!!!
Barrow is wrong! (spoken like that hot chick in My Cousin Vinny when she realizes what Vinny is trying to show her about the tire tracks)

Loved 99's observation about the moment:
quote:
He reminded us of who we are," Montgomery said. "He was the quiet sniper who came to the front lines.

Terrific story about Hairston's grit and passion wanting his LSU team mates to succeed.

Thought this was gonna be a joke but it was a good read. No one can say Les has trouble picking the right kickers. Good for Hairston.
