"The coaching staff is doing exactly what it should be doing. We're working at it. At practices we have had great effort. Our kids are in position. Our offense, they want to contribute. Hopefully we'll get things fixed as quickly as we can."

I don't really give a shite what's being said right now. None of it matters until we see what's being done Saturday night.

Does this mean the defense will be weak?

LSU Coach Les Miles said Wednesday he isn't taking his offense's struggles lightly going into Saturday's game with No. 3 South Carolina. He only puts them down when he goes to sleep and pick them back up when he wakes.
LSU coach Les Miles said his players are aware of what needs to be done to improve the offense.
"It's your day time job," Miles said on the SEC coaches conference call. "It's the thought process you have when you wake up and the thought process you have when you go to bed.
"The coaching staff is doing exactly what it should be doing. We're working at it. At practices we have had great effort. Our kids are in position. Our offense, they want to contribute. Hopefully we'll get things fixed as quickly as we can."
The No. 9-ranked Tigers are coming off a low output performance at Florida where it failed to score a touchdown and now has one in two SEC games this season. LSU ran only 50 plays for 200 yards against the Gators. On Saturday, the Tigers face a Gamecocks defense ranked third in the SEC.
Miles said one thing that hasn't happened is a loss of confidence among the players despite three consecutive shaky efforts. He said practices this week have hsarp and the players are accountable for improving.
"They recognize that nobody is going to get this corrected but us," Miles said. "Their practice habits have been very good. That's what we focus on. We've not changed. Same course, just improved. They're responding well. We'll know how to respond.
"I don't know that loss of confidence is something that happens after one game. it's something you have to have. Our team has not lost its confidence."

I'm pissed that Les waited until a loss before making necessary changes to improve the offense.

I'm thinking this should have been done in the off season, not middle of the season...

Whew...I was a little nervous. It's all good now.
Posted on 10/10/12 at 12:26 pm to thelsutigerfan
then he'll come out next week and say but they didn't execute
Posted on 10/10/12 at 12:27 pm to LSUAlum2001
What makes you think he is making changes?

Our offense, they want to contribute.

We're going to have some upset folks come Saturday. You're not going to see a different philosophy or scheme ... just better execution from the players (based on Miles' comments).

This is the kind of shite that drives me fricking insane.
From Saturday until yesterday, everyone was bitching and complaining about what Miles had been saying to the media about the offense.
Now, he mentions that he's trying to get it fixed and people say they don't want to hear it.
I seriously may hate 99.5% of you on this board.

it'll never be ready in time.

Yep, Les has a way of leaving you asking yourself "what did he just say?" no matter how long he talks....

That's the same thing my A/C guy told me before my compressor went out for good.
