'Dad, I'm going back to look at that tree. If that squirrel is there again, I'm gonna make a clean kill this time.'

This boy has been playing a lot of cabelas trophy hunter.

We hunted from dawn till 10am as the wind really started to pick up. He got off two shots and bagged one so I'm very pleased.

Next time will be much calmer as a front is moving in and the wind is acting up.

But his patience was not too bad and his safety was on point.
Just missed his second shot as that rat was moving pretty good.

Proud pop!

Congrats dude. When you get to work and somebody ask what you did this weekend you can reply by telling them you were working on making sure your boy never forgets his old man.

Well I work from home so that part might not happen, but I know I try everyday to love my kids. If I got hit by a bus today, my kids will have zero doubt that dad loved them.

Besides, I wouldn't hunt much if he wasn't the driving force.

I just need to see a deer in the woods while I am armed and it's in season and I have a shot and.....who am I kidding. It won't happen.

I'm just glad I know how to fish.

A little breezy for squirrels, but I love going.
