Always liked him, but was never a big fan til a group of friends all went to see the Graceland tour in Baton Rouge. He blew me away, and I've been a HUGE FAN since then...definitely check him out live while he's still kicking. We saw him last year at UNO, my wife couldn't believe he was actually 70 years old.

Favorite song is one he played that night--there was a young (like, teens at Paul Simon!) couple standing in the aisle behind my seat yapping it up loudly while he went into this song... Hearts and Bones.

His newest album, "So Beautiful So What", is IMO his best in years.

It is. The melody of the song is actually based on St. Matthew's Passion by Johann Sebastian Bach:

Graceland is my favorite song of his. It's just so damn good. The whole album is probably in my top 5. Definitely one of those..."if you were stranded on a desert island" albums for me.

Mother and Child Reunion is probably second
