Can't be Saul. He would've destroyed Brody's confession. Remember, at one point he was the only one in the US who knew about it's existence.

Most likely it's not him but we really don't know Nazir's "long game" right now

Also quite possible that the mole has not been introduced to the viewing audience yet

I kind of took it as, they are making it up as it goes on. Brody screwed up the assassination attempt and they sort of had a back up plan until he told them about the possibility of him being VP and Nazir decided to go for that. Although, that doesn't rule out the possibility of another attack by Nazir because I don't think he trusts Brody anymore.

I think the writers are doing this as well - reading interview with the producers after season 1, it seems like they don't even know what their exact plans for the mole storyline is.

I am almost 100% certain Nasir will strike at the VP's son when he's at school.. in almost the same way Isa died.

Who else does the VP's son go to school with? You guessed it - his new GF and Brody's daughter Dana (the kid Brody actually relates to).

Seems like a lock to me.

Pretty sure the writers are preparing to have the daughter die... they sure are investing a lot of time in her stupid teeny bopper relationship with the Veep's son.

I doubt it. More like Veep is going to try and keep his son away from her.

Pretty shocking that Brody is already in custody four episodes into season 2. The writers certainly aren't wasting any time. Basically it has been just like seasons 5/6 of Dexter.

Maybe, but what does that accomplish?

They spent a good 10 minutes on last night's show on their budding relationship... is the end game of that arc that they are like Romeo and Juliet where their families don't like each other?

Nasir is about to start doing shite on his own - Brody isn't cutting it - he already failed with the bomb vest in the bunker and his long-game political influence is in question now that he is detained.

Obvious targets are Brody, the VP, and both of their families.

Depends on whether Nazir finds out that Brody has been detained...which would depend on who the mole is

I like the idea of the CIA turning Brody into a double agent

That seems like the plan... although Brody could go triple spy when the trigger goes off again.

My theory is he'll agree with the CIA to spy on Nasir while still remaining secretly loyal to him. The event that ultimately turns him against Nasir is when his daughter is a collateral victim of Al-Qaeda terrorist strike and he decides to flip again.

I just saw on Homeland's FB page that they've been picked up for a third season.

I wonder if the producers writers know this before they begin writing the script for the season. Or do they just know they can write up half of the season before finding this out so they can end it or set it up to be continued for another season.

I agree with your daughter theory, I think she bites the bullet at some point this season. I've been trying to think how they can take this to a 3rd season and I think the daughter being killed in the finale and Brody turning on Nazir is a pretty good transitiion into the next season.

It just makes perfect sense. The finale will end with Nazir trying to blow up the school where the VP/Brody's daughter attend and Brody will have to make a decision one way or the other on who to side with. The 3rd season will be the aftermath
