I can't believe they just took in Brody! I thought they would drag it out for a while and watch him covertly.

There is a massive open storyline that no one is talking about

I firmly believe there is a traitor in the CIA and they will use Brody to flush the mole out

We never found out who slipped the guard the razor blade, we don't know how the reporter chick knew the CIA was getting close to The Tailor in Gettysburg and that Brody had to act that day. How did Brody know so far in advance where the VP announcement was going to be and what the procedure was going to be after Walker's shots. They had to scout the location, know the layout, surveill the old woman with the apartment walker shot from, etc

There is someone involved in this we don't know about yet

I think they will have to use him as a double to keep the show going on with him as a lead. I could be wrong though--the writers surprise me all the time.

Estes seems kind of obvious but you may be on to something

Divorced because of the job, unhappy family life, may have money problems, he is Walden's pawn and designated fall guy if shite gets too close to the VP

He has numerous reasons to want Walden dead

Estes puts this Quinn guy in charge of the detail and nobody knows who he is

Estes seems too obvious for this show. It always goes a different direction than you'd expect. Great episode. And especially great considering last week's was the worst of the series by far IMO.

I don't think they'll go the Estes route. I think keeping him in play works too well with Carrie's psychosis. The whole tension between him/her is a easy trigger for sending her off. Won't be surprised to see them exploit it in the future.

What's the over under on Carrie flashing back and realizing the connection to Nasir's kid?

The Mike/Jessica/Brody triangle should be interesting. I wonder how far they are going to play the whole Mike looking into Brody thing.

I just finished watching tonight's ep.... WOWIE. All I have to say. Claire Danes is doing a great job walking a whole bunch of lines...crazy yet vulnerable AND tough...off the rails tactically yet somehow playing it right for the situation. This show is the slowest exciting show on TV.

This is actually one aspect of the story that I do not like how it is being played. I understand the need to have a reason for Brody to have turned, but I cannot buy that the CIA (or even just Carrie as an expert on Nazir) does not know that Nazir had a son named Isla and that the same son has not been seen in several years. The build up to, in Brody's mind, justify his actions is there dramatic effect, but I don't buy the ignorance of the CIA on the issue (especially when Carrie has a vacant year at the time of his death in her timeline).

Also, if the death of Isla was the trigger event for turning Brody, I would have liked to know what was the trigger had been for Walker to turn.

I thought Brody beating him to near death was the trigger.

Maybe we should start putting pictures up on the board until we can clear them

David Estes

Right now I'm thinking Estes is too obvious so I'm looking at Danny Galvez

ETA: Galvez did say he was a Muslim

Pretty sure the writers are preparing to have the daughter die... they sure are investing a lot of time in her stupid teeny bopper relationship with the Veep's son.

I did not get that impression since Walker ended up working jointly with Brody on the assassination attempt. While he was following orders from Nazir, it would not make sense if the beating from Brody was his trigger.

Someone else we need to put up on the board, even though it would be mind blowing if it's him

Saul Berenson

Let's not forget he failed his polygraph

Can't believe this is the same actor who played Inigo Montoya

Think Saul is too obvious, however, knowing this show that could makes him a mole candidate.

FWIW, he passed the lie-detector test later in the same episode.

He seems to go out of his way to support Carrie, almost like a daughter - I just don't think that screams terrorist to me.

forgot about that

I really don't think it's him but do we now know enough to clear him and take him off the board?
