Streaming on George Strait.com
https://georgestrait.com/

He is expected to announce tour dates for 2013, an album, and more. He hasn't had a press conference since he used to do the George Strait Country Music Festivals (1998-2001)

Hoping it's not a farewell tour/retirement.

He's playing the Houston Rodeo with Randy Rogers (or I should say, Randy is playing with him)! I will finally get to see him

Saw him perform the first time at the Houston Rodeo, when I was a kid....we were supposed to see Eddie Rabbit, and he got sick, and they came on and announced who was going to play...Everybody was like "Who??", then he played Amarillo by Morning and everyone knew that song.

Also got to meet him when I was a kid because I lived in Huntsville, Tx and at the time they did the best prison rodeo in the country and would get big acts to come play. Our church youth group would always park cars at the church for extra money. We were working the street and his bus pulled up and he got out and met all of us, and gave us $100.

I generally get all-access to Randy so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll get to meet him too!

So glad that he is coming to New Orleans. I've seen him twice and he puts on a great show. It's so refreshing to have him just sit and sing. I'm not missing this one.

Seen him about 3 times. He always plays a fairly short set. REALLY short considering what his tickets usually go for, but he doesn't talk and all of his songs are 3 minutes MAX.

Just go expecting a short set. And understand when he plays Cowboy Rides Away you need to pack it up, he is done. NO MORE ENCORES!

I hate you with passion for that comment.

I will argue till the day I die. There aren't many people who can stack up as many good songs as George Stratit. BOOM FOR THE MOTHER frickING WIN

That's legit. Saw him in Jackson when I was a kid. My dad put me on his shoulders and ran me up to the stage. I handed George Strait a piece of paper that had "Play Milk Cow Blues" wrote on it. He snatched it from me with authority like the boss he is, read it while he was getting a drink of water or something, then played it a couple songs later... Pinnacle of a 7 year old's life.

Got to see him in '99 with the George Strait Music Festival with Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, the Dixie Chicks, Jodee Messina, Mark Wills, and Asleep at the Wheel. For $50 (on the grass at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium and spent 90% of our time a few feet from the stage).

He doesn't jump around/run around the stage. Just pulls up to the mic with his guitar and sings. At it was pretty awesome.
