He is.

..and the retarded announcers will still call him Big Game Bob, even though he has failed to win a big game in 10 years.

In a weird way I pity the OU fanbase. They're stuck in the horrible state where they are consistently "good" but never good enough to get over the hump. It's hard to ditch a coach who's averaged a little over 10 wins a year. How do you fire that guy and then how do you find someone who wants to take the job knowing that they're basically doomed?

Yeah we played pretty terribly Saturday night. The loss IMO, was both on the players and Stoops. Hats off to KState, theyre a legit team this year. As for us, I think we can rebound from this and win the Big 12. It's still very early in the season.

This is news to me. All I've heard is the same anti Landry Jones bull that has become common.

Those inbreds in OK need to get a grip and realize they aren't going to dominate like the Switzer years and 100 scholarship days. Take your one title every couple of decades and be happy.

But they won't, cause the state is beyond obsessed with their resident football program. And it's never because another team was actually better that they lost. Always coaches, refs, something..

Let me clarify -- I mean how do you find someone to take a job where the expectation is basically conference championship every year? That's unrealistic, but that's basically the only improvement OU could have. Like I said -- Stoops has averaged about 10.5 wins a year.

Do you remember when Sam Bradford got hurt and Landry Jones had to play? He came out with a dirtier stache than Mett and the announcers just dogged him. Said well he probably didnt expect to play today, much less all season so he was growing out a little mustache while he waited his turn..

yeah, they can't fire Stoops, but I do think its time for him (and Mack Brown) to move along, nothing left to prove. I don't take what the luntic fringe expects credibly. Once Stoops leaves, OU should have no problem finding a good coach.
