Oklahoma is a better program than Texas.

Hands down. Not even a question. Texas was nothing before Vince Young, and they haven't been much after him, other than the run with Colt.

Eh. Ohio State fans were nothing to talk about. A ton of them showed up for the National title game in NO but it's not like they were aggressive or terrible.

That's because they knew they were probably going to lose.

Florida fans probably have a very different opinion.

losing to Kstate shouldn't be the end of the world, that's a good team this year. The problem with OU is that Landry Jones has fallen apart going back to last year when they lost Broyles for the year. They just aren't a good team right now

It's not like OU is going to get a better coach but under the BCS system, the highlighted bowl games will always stick out over regular season records and Big 12 Championships...

Stoops Honeymoon (Big Game Bob)

quote:

2001 BCS Title
(3) Florida State 2
(1) Oklahoma 13

2003 Rose Bowl
(8) Oklahoma 34
(7) Wash. State 14

The trouble years...

quote:

2004 BCS Title Game
(2) LSU 21
(3) Oklahoma 14

2005 BCS Title Game
(2) Oklahoma 19
(1) USC 55

2007 Fiesta Bowl
(9) Boise State 43
(7) Oklahoma 42

2008 Fiesta Bowl
(11) W. Virginia 48
(3) Oklahoma 28

2009 BCS Title Game
(1) Florida 24
(2) Oklahoma 14

2011 Fiesta Bowl
(25) Connecticut 20
(9) Oklahoma 48

Who cares, it was UConn.

It's understandable that there will be grumbling until Stoops gets a major opponent win in a BCS bowl at the very least.

It would be fun to go to the Texas-WVU game the first time theHorns play in Morgantown. I think of these fanbases as being polar opposites of each other.
