Got Armand Williams but he's obviously not working. Leslie will be in next year and Dural will be back. RSJ would be a great late addition. Sure would've been nice to land Cordelle.
What we really need are great Olinemen and that's being addressed.

Go back to playing the Broncos, Andre Johnson... you're not big enough for LSU.

He may not be 'great', but sure would be nice to have Patrick Miller right now, for depth if nothing else.

Didn't look too good either. He'd be on the bench at LSU. Montgomery abused him last night. When GR wasn't being abused , he was holding. Would be good for depth and he could:kt be worse than Josh D but he'd be on the bench.

Don't understand why just now 6'4 wrs are suddenly needed. Nothing happened last night that height would have solved. OBJ dropped the deep ball. Shepard dropped the deep ball. Landry was open on the slant all night but we didn't throw it as much as we should've. Don't get me wrong, I think we need some size at wr but I don't see what has all of a sudden made it worth starting a thread. None of the passes last night would've been better executed with a taller wr. Our guys were open or they weren't. Sometimes they were open and we didn't give Mett time to hit them. Only issues at WR are drops and separation. 6'4 ain't fixing that.

Great assessment. Our passing game over the past 5 or 6 years has been beset with problems - case of dropsies with Bowe and Lafell and now Shep, QB situation, Crowton, etc. On top of that Les is gonna be Les and stick to his power rushing game come what may. Even when we had an established QB in JR supported by Bowe, Davis and Doucet, we werent exactly throwing 40 times a game but grinding it on the ground. What makes anyone think the situation would change if we had a slew of tall receivers.

I wouldn't count the shep pass to endzone as a drop. ball was not well thrown and shep was being hit by defender as ball arrived. I may be in minority but I think shep needs to play more he can STRETCH defense on run sweeps and he gets behind the defenders on deep balls. yes, he probably needs a perfectly thrown pass in order to make the catch.

OBJ is our best WR. Height has nothing to do with it.

I see what you are saying.....tall prototypical WRs are good to have.

OBJ and Landry will improve. Boone and Wright are getting better.

Diarse and Leslie are coming next year.

We need guys that can get open and catch. We have them now and things will get better.

I know he's not 6'4, but what about Avery Johnson? Isn't he still likely to be at LSU next season if he makes the grades?

Our 2013 class has some nice height at WR.
