1) expectations, they aren't a n.c. type team. they are 9-3 or 10-2.

2) lack of focus. With the academic suspensions and all the injuries, i think a lot of them came into camp out of shape and the grade issues show's lack of focus.

3) Z.M. He's better than what we had. With that said, he's not mobile, he doesn't recognize defenses pre-snap, and holds on to the ball to long. which brings me to 4.

4) left tackle, since z.m. doesn't make quick decisions, he needs a lot of time to scan the field. Therefore, we need to correct the l.t. spot, if we can't, then you're looking at 3 likely losses. (florida, bama, and a split with u.s.c. e and miss st.)

i think the defense isn't quite as dominate but is good enough. i think the young players will continue to get better in the system. this team will go as far as the offense can take them. last night showed they have a looooooong way to go.

5) Discipline. Penalties were atrocious and cost us points.

WR not executing their routes quick enough is causing Mett to hold onto the ball a lot.

We need a big WR. But we have excellent receivers...we are young at this position...ODB and Laundry are sophomores for goodness sakes

Mett is throwing the ball very very accurately..and people need to be way encouraged about that.

yeah no issues with the coaching. This is 9-3 talent, we are lucky to have Miles calling 50 toss dives into 10 man boxes and instilling the discipline to commit 18 penalties. Lets stop and smell the roses.

Apparently, it's Miles' fault that receivers drop the passes. Or Mett's fault. That's what I'm getting from some of the "fans" posting here.

don't really agree with that. i think a lot of the penalties were due to youth and inexperience. i think chavis is an outstanding disciplinarian and most of the penalties/personal files came against his unit.

i think the team knew their assignments last night. it was just executing them. i didn't have to much issue with landry's holding call. i think it was ticky tack. clement had one illegal procedure, that will happen.

if you watched the game, you saw the first possession where the wr for au dropped a 40 yard pass. you would have seen their qb miss a wide open wr down the right side line for a t.d., i'm not saying they aren't good, just saying they aren't as good as last year.

Oh no they had two open receivers. Auburn's offense didn't do shite against LSU's D all night.

Trent Richardson was wide open against LSU on a wheel route in OT last season and would have scored a TD if the pass was better. Receivers get a step sometimes.

LSU's D looks fantastic. You're a little bitch.

So much fail in one post.

was going to try to elaborate, but you are correct....and too much fail to cover in one post.

for starters:

Lavar Edwards, 5th yr sr. swinging at a guy after the play.

Chase Clement, 5th yr sr. false start.

Ensminger needs to teach his TEs the snap count, they had about 5 combined false starts

What I saw was a young team that made some mistakes in its first SEC road game in a hostile environment against a team that was playing with a real sense of desperation.

Defense played great. Offense showed the ability to make plays, but isn't consistent yet.

Remember, LSU's offense dominated Aburn in the first quarter with 120 yards offense. Two fumbles negated that advantage and put Auburn back in the game.

The defense should only get better as all of the young players get experience and the game slows down for them. Mett is an accurate passer who made good decisions last night for the most part. The game will slow down for him, too and he should improve as the season goes on.
