Sounds like the commish gave him the piece of paper and said, "If you sign it, you can come back and coach next year." This is all a big joke.

Wow. If htis is true,GW is a bigger POS than I thought.

He is not saving his career, who would like to play defense under him now?

I honestly don't care anymore. Let's just play through this season, take our lumps, and gear up for next year. Not writing this season off yet, but I'm tired of BOUNTIES!!

Vilma should turn right around and give the NFL his sworn affidavit.. then you are right back at one guy's word against another's.

Bring it to court.

Even if it's true(big if), all it is is a verbal proclamation by Vilma. If he never actually put the money in the pool or payed anybody or resulted in a teammate trying to injure anyone in an actual game...it has little to no significance.

The sworn affidavit from former Saints DC Gregg Williams that the NFL presented today to Jonathan Vilma was signed Friday, Sept 14, 2012.

Just because the affidavit was signed 14 Sept, that dooes not mean that GW hadn't given verbal testimony to the NFL prior to this time. They may have only written it down in preparation for the meeting with Vilma.

Just playing devil'e advocate.

Either way, GW is dead to me, and I'm sure to many defensive players.

This is the best piece of evidence the NFL has. And it's still just the word of 7 men against the word of 1. And the 1 has all the motivation in the world to lie.

I hope Goodell comes back with the same penalties. Then we can all watch as Judge Berrigan knocks it out of the park. Is this is the best the NFL can do to provide evidence? Their evidence is now one mans word vs 8 men's word. LOL.

I'm pretty sure Williams just effectively lengthened his own suspension

Maybe GW comes out and says the nfl told him he could coach again if he signed it. Now that would be funny
