ETA:
The man isn't flashy he isn't arrogant and most of all he isn't Nick Saban. The man prepares for the toughest games in the sneakiest most unconventional way. He enters OOC games and gives opponents respect while bullying them with sound fundamental play. He gives the top eshilon of the SEC not very much to prepare for with ZM8 at the helm. He is deceitfully honest he said so himself.

IMO he is playing Nick Saban's arrogance and point/rannk whoring against him. Les has been weighed, measured and beaten on the biggest stage in college football by the best coach in football. So what do you do when you, as a coach, know you the opposing coach has your number? you know he knows what you were capable of last year and how to beat that? He can see the similarites from last year to present and notices the loss of key play makers and the scepticism of a nation on LSU, what do you do? Mislead, misdirect, misinform. Les Miles has a sleeping Tiger of a team that is tip toeing through opponents under the radar. Hell, we even have Florida and aTm, two teams, who havent seen a well executed ball club play yet, thinking they can pull an upset.

To compare this years team to last year's is an insult to Les Miles and the coashing staff. Heck to even bad mouth Les Miles is blasphemy. He brought us through the hardest schedule LSU has seen in the last seven years and he did it with a one demensional offense. Yeah he lost the championship but to think he didnt make adjustments at half because he was stubborn or to envious of a run first quarterback is preposterous. At OSU he was as pass happy as can be. The man knew he was one deminsional and new he was playing the only possible team who could successfully stop the one demension.

Watching him very slowly and methodically unfold this team's true potential over the next 5 weeks and then on the seventh week(6th home game) unleash it's true potential will be one of the best things I have ever witnessed in my entire life of being a LSU fan. Les miles is a way of the future and evolves every year better then the last. He's deceitfully honest in letting you know what the LSU football team ais capable of and this year we aren't one demensional

Most here would probably say no but his record says otherwise!

Why make a thread like this if you have nothing in the body of the post?

You worried someone was going to take your novel idea first so you had to reserve your spot?

Better question in 2020. At LSU he is with Saban with 1 NC and 2 CC's plus more longevity. I think he will separate in the coming years and easily prove our most successful coach. Regarding SEC and National CFB history, we'll have to see how his tenure finishes.

Maybe he is waiting on Miles to retire to post his evidence.

I think that line was crossed some time ago.
At LSU
CLM .813 all games, .732 SEC
NLS .750 all games, .700 SEC

IIRC, CLM had better overall record for 1st 5years also.

You have got to be kidding...right? Last year's championship game should have given you a clue as to how good a coach Less is.

Miles will always carry around a couple of moments where he went brain dead. If not for those few memories, I'd say even with his goofiness and quirkiness, he could be considered one of the best in NCAA history.

The thing is there soooooo many great NCAA history, people use reasons to drop this guy under that guy and so on, and sadly, Miles will always have a few moments in history that will drop him.

Exactly, Les Miles is held to a higher standard. Les messes up and it is never forgotten. Saban screws up or craps on the fans or emails his assistants and everyone brushes it under the rug and forgets it.

Heck, Les has even turned Bama Fans from saying he was a horrible coach to now respecting him and realizing Les can beat them as much as Saban can beat us. LSU and Bama are even as two teams can be. Les just likes to fly under the radar when he can.
