LSU was already #2 in the only poll that matters.

b/c they are a media darling and support would have been swung in their favor.

I don't get how they were ranked there in 1st place....all they ever had was Barkley and 2 great WRs.

He's not the best QB we've ever had, but really struggled with no protection last night.

It strengthens LSU's hold on one of the top two spots.

you are right. If we win the SEC Championship, we are in the NCG. No Question!
But I cheered anyway, just because I don't like the way the media slobbers over USC, and I don't like Lane.

because USC lost and that is always a good thing

the only way I ever pull for USC is it were to help LSU in the rankings

plus they were ranked in the top 5 and now the media has to retrack all the hyoe they were giving them

That's only 1 loss. Either LSU or Bama will have 1 loss Nov. 3. Still very early. USC was 1 in some polls.

A top 3 team gets upset and you don't understand the hoopla?

Aaah. That's better.

It's an annual cause for celebration. An overrated USC is beaten by an "underdog." it's a good thing. Trust me ...

Since the start of the BCS, Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart were better college QB's. Barkley is definitely better than John David Booty and Mark Sanchez when they were at USC.

Is he better than Burt Reynolds?

A one-loss SEC team will not get into the BCSNC if there are 2 undefeated teams from other BCS conferences. It is always good to see at least 1 loss from all of the championship contenders from each BCS conference.

It was the hope of the media that USC was something more than another pretender. Simple as that. Oregon and UCLA may add to the L column. Fight On Boys of Troy.

Take a step further ...Auburn, Texas and USC were undefeated .. Auburn doesn't go.

If USC were undefeated, the loser of the LSU / Bama game would not go, even though they clearly might be the better team.
