I tasted 'sketti sauce at a dinner in Birmingham that was made from Campbell's tomato soup and corn flake crumbs.
I can top that. I had a bowl of gumbo made by a friend from NYC. It had no roux and consisted of chicken and Oscar Meyer Weiners. And I had to tell him it was great.

In all seriousness, I read The Godfather before I saw the movie. The book goes into a long detail of how to make real Italian Spaghetti Sauce. At the end of the recipe which is full of tomatoes, wine, spices and herbs the character says "And here is the secret ingredient. A cup of sugar."
That's not uncommon. People add sugar to sauce to cut the acidity of the tomatoes. Monjuni's probably uses a ton of sugar in their signature sauce (a sauce I really like even though I was never brought up on sweet red sauces) but they also don't use ketchup in butter to make their sauce.

The thing about ketchup is that it contains a lot of vinegar. That would add to the acidity. Sugar adds sweet without the vinegar.

Now we need someone to make the Honey Boo Boo Go-Go Juice & Lemonade...that is if you don't have a coma from Diabeetus or a heart attack .

You need to expand your horizons. It's becoming the most popular show with all the staff at the hospital.

Did June's original recipe have sugar? I thought it was just butter & ketchup? Which is still crap, regardless.
(Ashamed that I knew Honey Boo Boo's Mama's name.)

As best I could tell (because I have a hard time understanding the accents)... she took about 4 sticks of butter, melted them, then dissolved a cup of sugar in the melted butter and poured it over the spaghetti.
No fricking wonder they're all fat as frick.

I have heard it mentioned, but have been fortunate enough not to see it.

honestly, with how disgusting she is, its kind of a let down.
I mean she has neck crust, and a thumb face but the toe embarrasses her? lol

I made it Based on Zach's description.
After watching the show,m I saw that all she does is put country crock and ketchup in a container and then microwave it.
That lady stockpiles the hell out of crap and foods and toilet paper.
Also I have never seen a family live so close to train tracks, that must suck.

I think she was cooking some ground beef to go in there as well. I also don't recall the sugar in the 'sketti sauce. That was the lemonade.
