Both have great great fan bases...BUT, The Saints and it ain't that close. Love me some college football, but NFL rules.

Obviously, "better" and "fanatical" are subjective.

This can't go on both the Saints Board and Rant, which is why here is the place.

Unrelated, but I think a lot of LSU fans are Saints fans as well, but it seems some Saints fans try to distance themselves from LSU. I guess it's the whole "Gulf Coast" region the Saints have on lock.

Anywho, both fan bases are pretty great. Attendance is awesome, both are known as the two loudest crowds in their sport, etc. I'd say it's even. But I really have no idea.

I follow both but the fact that LSU has to win every week makes the games more exciting. Saints just need to get into the playoffs. That and I don't party on Sundays.

Saints fans just remind me of the inner city trash I encountered on my only trip to NOLA. LSU fans have been fun to hang out with.

Both are very passionate, but I'd much rather be tailgating in UGA gear outside Tiger Stadium than in Falcons gear outside the Superdome.

Started by anyone else and I would think this is just a tired topic getting rehashed.

BUT considering who the OP is, and his history I think this is just late night trolling.

I also think both are tops in their respective sports (i.e., College FB, NFL)

Not really. See LSU pre-2003. Saints fan have are arguably been the most loyal in the NFL.

Nola is a better city to visit than BR. BR is a better city to live in than NOLA. I love living in BR and having Nola right down the road. I love visiting Nola and enjoying everything it has to offer.

The question about the fanbases? They are both great in their own ways but you really can't compare them.

I am eagerly anticipating the day I can get as far away from Baton Rouge as possible.
