Spinoff from Little Angus thread.

I know I shot all sorts of birds, squirrels, rabbits, and maybe even some cats.

I was most proud of a bagging a crow even though they werent table fare. Those frickers were hard to sneek up on.

Alligator.

Granted it was a small gator, but it was still a helluva shot.

In the eye from about 30 yards.

Biggest. Raccoon.

Best shots. Snakes from 30 yards with just heads poking out.

Dragonflies in flight was tough too. Of course had to wait for them to hover but still...

Dove flushing after my neighbor came out to yell at me for shooting birds and squirrels over his bird seed at the ripe age of 11.

My grandfather died when I was young (when i was in 5th grade) he was the hunter and fisher in the family and my source of the outdoors till I was able to start hunting on my own in high school. I remember a fishing trip in the spillway, where fishing was slow and I was able to pull out the red rider. I asked about shooting at a bluish grey bird with a long neck on a long. He replied sure that the bb wouldn't hurt the bird. I shoot once and still to this day remember watching the bb arc about a foot in front of the bird. As the bb got close that blue heron stuck out its neck and took that bb in the side of the head and dropped dead, instantly.

It might not be the biggest of the best but it is my most vivid memory as a kid with my grandpa and my red rider...

A deer. Yearling went all the way through. Was just trying to scare it out of the garden.

My buddy shot a squirrel about 30 or so feet up a pine tree BETWEEN THE EYES! Creepy little bastard was always a better shot than me.
