state law for UL system establishment

Does anyone have the link to the LA law passed in '98 allowing universities to change their name to "Univ. of LA @____" but forbidding anyone from having exclusive right to the name "Univ. of LA". I need this link to settle a bet. I had it on my previous hard-drive but it crapped out last yr. I tried Google & Bing but it cannot find the law spelled out in its full form.

Maybe LSU should change its name to UL @ Baton Rouge. Then we could call ourselves THE UL....

I think all of the schools in the UL system should change their name to UL-city just to piss ULL off.
For example:
UNO: ULNO
Southeastern: ULH
Northwestern St: ULN

Lol - I didn't know this existed but I really hope it does and someone sends a link. My gf and I literally just talked about how she didn't go to "UL" she went to "ULL" or Oh-la-la. I told her the Monroe people would feel very hurt and left out.
I never really thought much about oh-la-la one way or another until we started dating. Then I realized they have a huge inferiority complex.

The substantive changes were made in 1995 (Acts 45 and 634) and minor amendments made in 1998 (Act 151 of 1998 1st Extraordinary Session). The current relevant law you are looking for is in R.S. 49:1101.

It's called adhering to the law, Weasel. The outcry among scUM fans would be deafening if Michigan State or any other univ. in Michigan started referring to itself as "Univ. of Michigan" or "UM".

Can you actually see South Lafayette Tech being mentioned in the same breath and on the same level as the other large state universities across the country?
