Tell "your friend" to SHUT THE frick UP

Your friend is an idiot. Whitten is and has been a fine tight end, but Jimmy is a damn super star.

Jimmy IS the upper echelon

Whiten is good
Graham (along with Gronk) has reinvented the position

Jason Witten is a top tier tight-end. He has been consistent, and the favorite target for Romo.
Right now, Graham and Gronkowski are the top in the league, then there is everyone else. For a career, I'll go with Graham easily, although Witten will finish with outstanding numbers. Graham just has so much more upside. Graham has yet to even reach his ceiling, he will have the better career.

Jason Witten has a chance to be a HoFer fwiw. Jimmy will never be close to the blocker Jason is, but Graham is such a good receiver.
The umph of my post is lets see if Jimmy and Gronk can last 5 years at this level before we start comparing careers.

I agree, Witten has a great chance at the HoF. I disagree with the blocking, maybe he will never reach his skill of blocking, but he will only get better at it. Being able to block is learnable, having a skill set like Gronk and Graham is not.

If Jimmy can post 4 or 5 more seasons similar to last year (or even slightly off the pace), he will be far and away the better TE. Jimmy's 2011 season was statistically better than any season Witten has ever posted.

I have no problem with this. Graham had an amazing season, Witten has alot more years behind him right now.

Never seen someone 'umph' their own post.
As to the OP why argue with a cowgirl. Its pointless.

Conversations with a cowboys fan...
"Hey man, who would you draft: Tamme or Celek?"
"Jason Witten."
"frick you."
The end.

Cowboy fans can't see past Jerry's World.

I was that way about the Saints when I was younger, but I watch a lot of non-Saints games now. I even watched a good bit of that Ravens-Jags game last year, or "the most boring game ever."

As long as Brees and Brady are throwing that ball, there is no "lets see". I mean, did you see Graham against Houston. Dude couldn't be covered. They (Graham/Gronk) will have a great season, barring injury, and will continue to.

Yeah, but no TE in history had the season Graham, then Gronk, had last year. No reason to think they can't do it again.

Jason Whitten as it stands now, Grahmn if he keeps it up at a consistent level for another four years.

That's one hell of a run on sentence
And Witten is good but he doesn't have shite on Graham

So, today, your team, you get one...Whitten or Graham. No injuries, they both play every game your team is in. Who do you take?
I don't need the answer. You are stupid if you say Whitten.
