Been being told that the worst would be here around midnight but looking at the radar I'd almost believe it will only get better from here

Yes the worst is over for BR. The storm will continue to weaken and move away from BR. Hopefully Entergy can get to work earlier than expected tomorrow.

We have power in warehouse district in Nola. Based off the radar I see Mobile is getting hammered. Crazy to think how big this storm actually is.

Weather Channel is pathetic, storm starts to die so at 10:15 they throw in a segment from around 3 or 4 (clearly daylight) this afternoon where the reporter is hyping 70 mph winds in BR with 10 inches of rain.

That Father/Son team that rescued a bunch of people in Braitheworthe were just on Nightline.

The boat they were on wasnt big enough to get the entire family off one roof so the son got off the boat and waited for them to come back for him.

The dad lost it during the interview.

just can't believe we are getting this wind and rain 200 miles from the eye 2 days after it has passed us!

This.

Here in Laffy, ne'ry a scratch, and we've been closer to that eyewall for some time. I was actually watching how ya'll were still catching major shite so far away today, from those most-distant bands. All I can say is "West side is where it's at." Better luck next time.

Mobile isn't even getting rain right now. The wind is minimal as well.

all storms tend to speed up when they are inland. it will speed up there's a High Pressure coming in from the Southeast USA, which will push Isaac North. just matter of when. tonight, or tomorrow afternoon.

I know all storms speed up when they make landfalls but a lot about Isaac has been far from the norm. It is refusing to be forecasted correctly. We've been hearing it will speed up soon for a while, but it hasn't yet so I'll just sit back and formulate my own ideas on what it will do.

The wind is howling by my house in BR again. It hasn't been this windy in a while.
