Don't quite understand the hype. Very good defense, but lost their best playmaker in Reid and are mediocre offensively.

What's his basis?

I think that's absurd FWIW

USC...sure

FSU... , that offense isn't good enough. Although, they do play in the ACC, so that's nice...

Under the BCS, you have to pick an SEC team to be there if you're being honest.

Until we get a playoff, reputation matters.

History will repeat itself.

FSU will be hyped and by midseason, they will be forgotten.

But who can they beat in the MNC?
LSU or Bama rapes em,as would USC.
Maybe they could beat Chokelahoma

Florida State has lost at least 3 games every year since 2002, and they've had better teams than this in that span.

Picking them to be in the national title game is a crock.

How many fricking times are these dumbasses going to pick against the SEC before they learn?

The funniest part was Herby was just ON a Grantland podcast discussing how superior the SEC is to every other conference and how much better our defenses are than any other conferences.

Did no one notice that almost nobody was in the same hemisphere as LSU and Bama last year, and that many of those teams didn't improve all that much?

Its just the way it is this year, it will change at some point, but thats what it looks like to me. How is FSU gonna magically become good?

Anyone that picks a team outside of the SEC should have their head examined, given the current winning streak.

I mean, it's very likely that it won't be two SEC teams in the title game again this season, so we'll probably see someone else.

But not Florida State. Probably Oregon. Maybe Oklahoma or West Virginia.

I guess they need to start giving some other conferences some love before the season starts.

Remember when FSU and Oklahoma was a big top 5 match-up early last year? How did those teams finish in the end last year?

Exactly why preseason rankings don't mean anything to me.
