I find it hard to believe PD hasn't read any of the books, but its possible.

Goddamn you lazy fricks and you're abbreviations. It's late so please tell me who PD is????

I honestly laugh at the Hound probably more than I should. I'd say he's definitely the funniest character in the series, but then again I have an incredibly fricked up and violent sense of humor.

No such thing as laughing at the twisted sense of humor of guys like the Hound too much I don't think. He's great.

Speaking of PD, Jordan Prentice makes a good Oppo. Not only cuz he's a dwarf, but he resembles PD - specially with longer hair. He was in "In Bruges"

LINK

24 hrs later:

So I'm killing time, surfing the web, finally convincing myself that Daniel Craig (I know, too expensive) is just too gdamnd old to play Rhaegar, anyway...sadly leaving me with "Eric" from Trueblood as still my solid #1 (Orlando Bloom? yak! I'd pay him NOT to.)

So, anyway, was giving Heath Ledger a (less than enthusiastic) post-humus look (The Patriot, 2000)when I seem to have stumbled into the Red Viper himself in the form of (Col. William Tarvington) Jason Isaacs. Dude's entire performance mirrors Prince Oberyn's cocky-and-can back-it-up-personality, and the fact that these pics are almost 15 years old, makes Isaac's age even better...I know, it doesn't keep with my mid eastern/ Egyptian ethnicity idea, he's British, but this expression just screams, Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken

And, he's British!
(most of the cast is, get it?)

here's a cool art image of RV, for comparison

Can't you just see it?

"You raped her...

"You murdered her...

"You killed...

"HER CHILDREN!!

(Yeah, my kingdom for a shot with a spear, instead)

Nah. He's enormous. The Red Viper is smaller and much more lithe. I picture him being closer to Jaime's build, maybe slightly taller.

Would be cool to have a big name in there but I would rather the money be spent on the effects and story.

I think either Oscar Isaac:

Or Rudolf Martin

Would be a good Red Viper. Rudolf is a little old and a little too tall for me, though. Oscar is just under 6 feet, and is only 33. Plus he can act all over the place. Jai Courtney would be good for action sequences probably.

So is it pretty much the consensus Eric from true blood for rhaegar?

I know this central crackpot theory has been addressed somewhere in this behemoth of a thread but:

So we assume John Snow is the bastard of Rhaegar and Lyanna Stark
He will meet and marry Dany at some point fulfilling the "song of ice and fire"

Dany would technically be John Snow's aunt in this situation, correct?

I would prefer the story not end in more creepy incest.

Agreed, but I don't think they end up together. I'm thinking they split the kingdoms up amongst themselves and whoever the 3rd head of the dragon is. JS will get the North and Dany will have KL and the Riverlands and other surrounding areas and the third will get Dorne.
