We're leaving for Destin on the 31st after Easter lunch with all of our families and I'm fairly sure the condo doesn't have HBO. Nor does my laptop's wifi connection work well outside of the house. #fricked

Well I managed to convince my wife to marathon the first two seasons with me before next Sunday so she can watch it with me. Maybe this will get her to read the books.

I'll be in Oxford. I've already informed my friend that even though he's only part of the way through CoK and only watched the 1st season that he'll need to either be spoiled or vacate the premises while I watch the premiere.

Well, I gave the round table a shot but the mod was just a complete tool.

I find it hard to believe PD hasn't read any of the books, but its possible. I was thinking "plausible deniability" with all the nays on who read. I'm sure it's in their contracts not to divulge (under penalty of death) any of the show's plot lines beyond not only the scope of the current episode, but beyond scope of ADWD especially- too hard in today's communication system to prevent leaks, so actors prolly don't know squat.

But still a good strategy to discourage info seekers...hey, man, it's just a gig. I ain't even read the books. Latte?

Cat:

Would be smarter to let RW go as written, only she's left for dead and found by BWB and revived. The emotional stress and / or brain trauma has left her mute and vengeful, and kept as more of a mascot by BWB than a leader...and the BWB do nothing to discourage the "UnCat" rumor, it's much too valuable in terms of propaganda.

Plus, if Lady Stoneheart doesn't end up w BWB, a lot of "The Old Gods..." Episode...well, the vow is the important thing to Brienne's development so may not be a big deal.
IMO.

Damn it's good to see this thread going strong. I've got a new job, so I haven't been able to contribute like before.

However, I would be a bit disappointed if the show leave off UnCat. I guess it is not critical to the story, I just like to see Martin's vision as much a possible.

If we don't get to see a DeadCat, then I really hope we get an Insane-In-The-Membrane Cat.

I check TD more for this thread than anything else

I hope they keep UnCat in the show. I'm interested to see how badass the bwb becomes in the new books. I feel like they're gonna do some hardcore stuff

It would be awesome...It's crazy to think he will end up being a character people cheer for. He's the only one, in my mind, that can kill his brother

Other than the first half of GoT I've always thought he was a pretty sympathetic character and one of my favorites.

I agree with you on that. I loved the convo between him and Bronn in the Blackwater episode

I think that alot of people already cheer for the Hound really. He is violently hilarious. One of the things I've laughed hardest at is the Hound taking the ferry.

"How about this deal: Gold on the North Shore, or Steal on the South."
"Do we have your word that you'll pay us on the opposite shore?"
"Knight's Honor."

it's like you're the only other person besides me that laughed at that. I laughed my dick off, and I never hear anyone else say that it was funny. if they leave it out of the show, i will cry

I honestly laugh at the Hound probably more than I should. I'd say he's definitely the funniest character in the series, but then again I have an incredibly fricked up and violent sense of humor.

Bronn's pretty funny, especially in the series.

With Jamie crippled, the greatjon in captivity at the twins and Victarion and barristan in Essos I'd say you're right.

I think Bronn has the ability, remember the red viper almost defeated the mountain using the strategy that Bronn is famous for, but he won't attempt it.

The hound is really the only man left.

I need more of that.

I'm seriously convinced GRRM is further ahead than he lets on.
