The urban dictionary defines it as those individuals who regard any beer that they do not drink as piss. Personally I think they are individuals that only drink "craft beer".

I try to avoid the majors like Bud, Miller etc. but I have no problem drinking beers from larger distributors like Shiner or whoever.

I love craft beer but I don't put people down that drink BMC stuff. It is their choice.

No. If someone wants to drink stuff that I hate, I don't care. They are paying for it after all.

I get annoyed with people that won't try new shite, I generally drink craft beers, but I'll drink a bud light with no shame. I like to think of myself as a connossieur, but definitely not a snob.

Well said. I'll drink a Bud in a pinch, but I'll choose a craft beer over a Bud if I have the choice. There is no doubt that almost all craft beers are better than BMC stuff IMO, but that doesn't make me a snob. I like what I like, but I don't put anybody down that likes BMC beers.

I have long time friends that are BMC heads. Whenever I introduce them to a good craft brew they will say " that's good" but then go buy Bud next time. Whatever, and while it's frustrating , it's their thing.

no.

It all depends where I am at. If I am at a bar that has a good selection of beer(bulldog, cove, chimes), I will order a craft beer all the time. If I walk into some crowded bar that has a shitty selection and there are people all around the bar trying to get drinks and I am getting 2 or more people drinks, I will order a bud light. I am not asking a bartender busting his arse serving drinks what kind of beer they have.

Absolutely. I don't look down on people that drink BMC stuff, so I don't think I am a snob. The BMC guys that call craft beer fans snobs seem to be the snobs to me.

Yes. People who try to justify drinking Bud Light or Coors Light or the like by saying anything other than .. "hey man, I just don't like good beer" is a closed-minded, sad individual.

I equate them to adults who still order burgers with "meat and cheese only."

Yes, yes I am. If beer snob means turning my nose up at the crap that BMC calls beer, then I'm absolutely a beer snob. I'm also a burger snob, since I don't eat McDonalds and Burger King. And a pizza snob, since I don't eat CiCi's and Gatti's.

So, I'm an equal opportunity snob. Or it means I don't like sub-standard stuff.

A little. I like when people look at what I am drinking and say "what in the hell is that?"

That being said I will gladly drink an ICE COLD bud light. Rolling Rock is my favorite un-snob-worthy beer.

I feel I can not be a true snob as, for the life of me, I can't enjoy a pale ale with more IBU's than green label Sierra Nevada. But I can use the term IBU so that makes me snobby.

I'm a borderline alcoholic that prefers to drink good beer. It's not the only thing I drink, but it is my first choice.

Some people just don't like hops. I love them!
