i guess all the texas kids heard what Torshiro Davis said about the LSU divide and wanted to bring about 10 of their friends with them so they had someone to talk to in the locker room.

Good one

The one thing Texas shouldn't have trouble recruiting is defensive backs. Say what you want about the rest of the team, but Texas has a damn good track record of putting out DBs.

And since we're on the subject of 2014 recruits, I'm almost certain Heard is our guy at QB, in which case he's ours I think. I think we'll get Garrett as well. I think we're going to go hard after all 3 of the top DEs (Thomas, Roberson, Garrett). The DBs I have no idea what the hell is going on, since the only one I know of that we lead for at this point is Jamal Adams. I hope tht we'll do well enough to regain the attention of some of these big time recruits. We're playing catch up with Tony Brown, both Nicks and Hoza Scott. shite is ridiculous man.

Good thing Duane Akina came back. He has a great history of developing DB's & getting them NFL ready.

Seems like these guys aren't looking around as much as the DB's.

ETA:

I meant the DE are not looking around as much as the other guys.

I agree on Heard if Texas makes him the target. I've been hearing a lot more about the possibility that you guys go after a pocket guy(can't think of the kids name that has been mentioned most) with Swoopes being the take this year. Why I focused on the "hope Texas fricks up" part. If Texas wants him they likely get him and quickly.

I hear Texas is in great shape with the 3 DEs but I get the feeling 1 of them goes elsewhere. Wouldn't be suprised if you guys got all 3.

The DBs will work itself out. There are too many for Texas not to get some good ones. The problem is that it may not be the guys at the top of the rankings as you guys are used to. Brown and Paris are going to be tough with Paris virtually a lost cause. Brown will give Texas a good look but I feel if not LSU then Bama. There are plenty more and Texas will get some.

The key recruit that Texas needs to focus on is Knox. They can't let OSU or Bama come in and steal away a potential franchise OT. I sort of hope Bama lands Knox so that we'll be helped in the Cameron Robinson derby.

Robinson is strictly an "LSU Left Tackle" vs "LSU Right Tackle" battle.

He was joking when he wrote that...but basically Torshiro stated that he did not like the "divide" in the LSU locker room between North LA guys and South LA guys....that was a big factor in why he decided to decommit and go to UT...

Must be a divide between east/west Texas. Maybe they just want to win...
