I have one dinner to.fill in Newport or on the drive between there and Boston. Sunday night.
I have several meals to fill in Boston. Lunch and dinner. I neglected to do my usual planning bc work was busy. I would prefer more casual, ethnic or Italian since NYC filled the modern progressive restaurant bill already.

My favorite meal has been at Mama Maria in the North End.
And Neptune Oyster House for lunch was real damn good. Fresh oysters from the Atlantic that we don't see in the south often and the lobster roll was very good as well.

Sit at the raw bar in the Union Oyster House and soak up some history...and some damn good chowder.

Flo's Clam Shack in Newport is outstanding for casual dining.
The Club Room at the Clarke Cooke House in Newport might be one of my favorite restaurants anywhere.

Take a look at the Lost Dog Pub there are two locations in the Boston area. The brothers that own it I met twelve years ago on St Croix where they have another one. Great pizzas along with Itallin food that is very good.

Went to Neptunes. I would go for the Lobster Roll and evidently their burger is pretty good too. i would skip out on the raw bar. Over priced and underwhelming. Just FYI
