I want a fricking slamming hot dog. What is the best in Baton Rouge.

I bought some Nathan's a couple weeks ago, they were awesome, but not fat.

I want a long, fat hot dog (like "Ball Park" franks) but I want a good gourmet dog as well, not a mass produced bug part-filled turd maker.

WF has excellent beef hot dogs. My guess is that Fresh market also has them but the best hot dog I ever bought came from WF.

I will look for the bigger Nathan's. I wish I could buy the Nathan's they serve at Sam's Club snack bar, but those are restaurant quality, and not available at a store.

No matter how old I get, and how old this response gets, I always laugh at it like a little kid.

Whole Foods didn't have shite. The butchers actually looked at me like I was a ruhtard and said they have never heard of gourmet hot dogs. WF's did have some good looking all natural hot dogs called "Applegate". I did a quick search, they didn't get a good review.

I stopped at Calvin's across the street and they came through. They have the jumbo Hebrew Nation (but only regular size Nathan's).

The fricking things are $4.10 a pack, 4 hot dogs a pack.

RD has the 5/1, 7/1, 8/1 and 10/1 Nathan's Hot Dogs in 5lb quantities for around $3/lb.

Sam's Club snack bar serves the 4/1. Some clubs sell those size up front by the case, but it's like $90 worth of hot dogs (160 1/4lb franks).

Sam's sells the ones they serve by the case only. I think it was about $90 when I bought some at the beginning of the year.
