Golf Club Memberships

Im looking to join a club in/around the Baton Rouge area. BRCC and CCLA are way out of my league. Looked into UC and they wanted a $4000 initiation fee. Thats still a little steep. Any recommendations for a membership to a quality golf course?

Just buy the copper mill card for $75. Gives you $20 off every round.

u35 copper mill membership is like $120/mth iirc. If you live 50 miles away you can get out of area for like $60/mth.
They give discounts for full year payments.
BREC has some membership plans also giving you access to santa maria/beaver creek/webb/others.

wish they had a decent course for only 250.

jesus christ!!! thats how much it is a year here and im complaining about that. 1000/month is insane, why would somebody pay that just to play one course.
i just couldnt justify that much unless i was banking 25k a month or more and i seriously doubt i ever do that. i would rather play 5 or so courses often then pay that much to play one course all the time.

No shite dude, So many people want to play golf around here though it's nuts. To get a tee time at a public course on the weekend you've gotta call at least a week in advance. It makes me not so upset my off weeks are during the week.
There are a few clubs that seriously have a $100,000 initiation fee

I should also clarify, some of them are cheaper but they have initiation fees
