I didn't ignore anyone. I read all the comments and stand by my comment. As commonly happens, to me it changed from an "honest discussion" to a an arguement and name calling session. We'll just have to agree to disagree.

Well this one went like I hoped my thread would

I like a hammer block safety on everything except a DA revolver. I don't rely on it, but I want it. I do not feel like the safety extends the time it takes for me to intentionally draw and fire, but it does reduce the likelyhood of the pin hitting the primer when I don't want it to.

You could carry it unloaded. But only when you are certain you will never be in jeopardy.

I am a little nervous that some CCW instructor is going to just shoot me if I am in a bad area of town and approach to ask directions to insure he gets the drop on the perp. They can predict bad shite happening just by geography and dirty looks.

No way. If I'm gonna carry a gun, it's gonna be ready to rock. I'll leave a revolver sitting on a dead chamber most of the time, but no way I'd carry a semi without one in the pipe.

I agree. I also am in the "carry it loaded at all times" camp.

Just don't give that CCW instructor any dirty looks and you shouldn't have anything to worry about (other than being in the bad part of town). :-)

If you're saying that the exchange of informed opinions slacked off back then, I would agree. The interjection of clueless opinions, some or all which may have been honest, sorta took over.

That's my honest, clueless opinion.

Sorry. Your opinions do not count.

You actually own and carry self-defense handguns, so you are summarily disqualified

I bought a new driver today, so i was distracted, but my trolling abilities go only so far. I've never even held a Glock, but I enjoyed the hell out of this video.

You could have argued the single/double action.

I did not see a place to jump in on that. Besides, the morons who think a Glock is somehow double action have all been identified.

A student in one of my recent Concealed Handgun Permit classes (clueless, female, know-it-all attorney) simply refused to accept some of the fundamental concepts, attributes and limitations (as taught by virtually every single defensive handgun training facility in this country) of various handguns. And to say that she was argumentative would be an understatement.

After reaching the "everybody has heard enough of her crap" point, I gently explained that we were going to have to move along, despite her lack of comprehension and/or acceptance. At which point she made a comment that reminded me of a couple of threads on this forum.

She said, "Well, everyone is entitled to an opinion."

I responded by politely telling her that, in my classes, everyone is entitled to an informed opinion.

Too bad that will never work on interwebz gun forums.
