I have been given the honor of planning my brothers bachelor party. He wants to have have it in september as not to conflict with football season. Rather than going to Orange beach I thought some redfishing would be a fun time. How is the redfishing in Sept.? Any recommendations on where to go out of that would offer not only good fishing but some good places to drink beer?

If the fishing is good, what do yall think about bowfishing for reds? It looks like a lot of fun. Worth a shite, or would we be better off fishing during the day time?
TIA

Have you considered bowfishing? We did that a couple weeks ago for the first night of a bachelor trip and it was badass.

it looks like an awesome time. I was wondering if it was really as good as it looks, or if I would be better off planning another standard day trip

I've been bowfishing in Leeville with a Charter called Marsh Masters. You can fit up to 8 guys on 1 airboat, they give you a place to sleep and clean the fish for you. If you have all 8 guys, it's less the $200 per person. Depending on how much time you have and how much money ya'll want to drop, you could bowfish one evening and then go fishing the next afternoon. Even if you don't do a charter and fish off the beach in GI. Your bro is about to hang himself so go all out.

Go to Fourchon. Bring a couple knots of yak and 3 whores. Don't let your buddy fire up a joint in the boat with the uncool guide. Other than that let er rip.

I think the first step is buying a yeti cooler on ebay.

Did this exact trip for my buddy's bachelor party and it was pretty fun. Stayed at fins and feathers in Venice and bowfished for reds out of Port Sulphur. We didn't do any bars or clubs though. He's too cheap to enjoy a strip club.
