| Mt. Rushmore of Fantasy Football (Posted on 6/18/12 at 4:07 pm)
LT retiring has brought this subject up. I'm looking for high performance + consistency so here's mine. LT, Manning, Rice, and Faulk.

Limiting to 1990 and after, as that was when FF really took off. The masses weren't playing in the "Marino era." T. Brady Faulk P. Manning Emmitt Perhaps Faulk didn't have the longevity at the top, but he burned very bright while there. Rice was fantastic and the best WR.. just can't quite put him with these 4.

T. Brady
I can't put Brady on the fantasy Mt. Rushmore. Speaking from a fantasy perspective he was really just another QB until 2007. Almost always top 10, and sometimes top 5, but nothing that really seperated him from the pack, untill 2007.

Fantasy football became popular on the back end of Rices career. I started playing in the mid to late 90s, and he was declining TO & Moss at WR. Faulk, LT at RB Manning & Brees at QB

If I'm taking off Rice, then I need to go off the board and look at someone like Edgerrin James or maybe crazy like Antonio Gates who was clearly the best player at his position by a large margin for a # od years

A friend from my first fanatsy league drafted Earl Campbell back in the late 70s. He may not rate the Fantasy Mount Rushmore, but those early years would surely make him a candidate for the fantasy HOF.

Faulk, LT, Moss, Tony Gonzalez if we are talking since fantasy football took off. Faulk, Rice, Favre, Sharpe if we are talking all-time.

Those leagues which penalize for interceptions would be throwing rotten fruit at Favre's image...

i saw on a site (can't remember which one foxsports or something) where billy cannon would've been the greatest one game FF players ever. something like 275 yds rushing, 165 rec and 5 td's

I have been playing since the 80's. My first ever pick was Christian okoye. My mt rushmore would be Em Smith, Faulk, Rice and Terrell Davis

I drafted him in the latter rounds the first year I played FFB, he helped me dominate the league. Guy was a consistent stud for years.
