The worst thing about losing this past weekend...

Is that the 3 SEC teams in the CWS (de facto favorites) are teams that we owned.
- Swept Arky
- 2 of 3 at UF
- 2 of 3 at USCe
Make no mistake about it, we were a good team this year and would have had as good a chance as any in Omaha had we just won one more game.
We just hit our slump at THE WORST possible time.

I think Stony Brook, UCLA and Florida State (I know, I know) are just as good.

Agreed, but South Carolina is the 2 time defending champs, Florida is the top overall seed, and I threw Arkansas in because they were in the top 10 to start the year and are associated with the conference that has won the last 3

Those two teams are going to put up a ton of runs. As far as the S. Carolina Florida matchup goes, I know Florida has all the tools to get it done and they look really good on paper but S. Carolina just grinds it out and knows how to win tough games. I've watched several Florida games on tv this year and I just think something is missing to get them to the championship game this year.
