Batter had every right to act like that. That pitch was never in the strike zone. Up and off of the plate. Ridiculous for a college umpire to call that a strike.

It was a ball, but you shouldn't act like a bitch. He should have protected the plate. I'm all for protesting calls, but he went way to far on that. It was borderline embarrassing for him.

ump also put his fricking finger into his chest...I hate how umps escalate arguments in baseball, that ump should have to stand there and take it after a shitty call to end a players career

it was a strike,the ump has been consistent with that call and with two strikes you better be swinging at a pitch that close. the state player should be mad at himself.

At first I thought it was off the plate and then I froze it on the screen and it looks like it got the outside corner. Certainly it was not the worst call in history.

Exactly, you have to protect in that situation. That pitch might not have been a stike but it wasn't that bad. You don't leave it in the umps hands.

Not even close. The ump had no intention of calling that pitch a strike until the catcher framed it. The ump was even late on the call. That's the kind of call you expect to see from a high school ump, not a college Super Regional umpire. Embarrassing.

Emotions were high it's the last game of the season maybe of his career. I haven't seen the ump call that a strike all game. I dont see anything wrong with arguing it.
