$20.3 is a fair-ish deal - I hope the actual average is closer to $19.5 but everything we had heard implied up until now was that Brees was seeking $21.5 million or (in most instances) more.

I think he'll settle for 20M, but he's asking for 20.3 so the Saints eventually come back offering him 20. Saints offer him a 6 yr 120M contract, with signing bonus of 50M the day before Training Camp. He accepts. It's like nothing ever happened
