Looking for good places to bank it (I don't have a boat here). Any suggestions within about a 50 mile radius?

No idea, but head over to Germantown and eat at LINK Best Mexican I have ever eaten. Do it soon and don't wait till you get ready to leave you will regret it.

Place sucks for fishing without a boat. Try the 'Day Care pond' off of Houston Levee near 385. Other than that you can try some of the ponds on the Greenway.

Enid lake owns the record for white perch and Sardis lake is on same level. Arkabutla I have never fished but it is closest to Memphis Plenty of bass and catfish as well.

Those sound like winners to me. Now how practical is it to go there without a boat?

Honestly within 50 miles of Memphis there isn't much. Kinda sucks actually. If you can go a little further you have Pickwick Dam on the TN River (fish below the dam it's 1.5-2hrs depending on where you are in Memphis) or the little red river in AR for trout (it's 2-2.5hrs). World record brown was caught in the little red.

Also, horseshoe lake just south of Memphis but I've never fished it.

And Las Tortugas is a great place.

Arkabuttla has some fishing from the bank, and the spillway. You need to get familiar with all of the rules. There is a slot for white perch, limit to # of hooks per line and per person. Try Kelly Crossing in the gravel pit.

By the way, all of these are Corps of Engineers' lakes. All are well below normal water levels right now as well. Many boat ramps are closed or closing at Arkabuttla.

Strech that 50 mile radius to little over 100 and go fish the spring river for trout and smallmouth in Northeast AR

Thanks y'all, I've looked some of these places up and they look like they'll get the job done.

Another vote for the spring. If you decide to do this let me know and I'll try to give you some better ideas on what is there and where to go. Used to fish there about 4 days a week during the summers.
