The Greek Fest is this weekend and I will be in the area right before it starts. I haven't been in years. Is it worth swinging by for a bite to eat?

Wife and I go every year just to grab some lamb gyros and fried calamari with fresh feta and lemon. The desert tables and market inside have some really nice traditional Greek dishes as well.

ETA: It does get hot and crowded but it is worth it to sit along the bayou and eat all the good food..

It is a good time.
If you can find a way to get there before the crowds, it helps with enjoying the food.

One of my favorite times there was sitting out by the bayou drinking bottles of wine and eating all of the different dishes.

I will be at the site for an interview at 3 tomorrow, so I assume I will beat the crowds over there. Thanks for the advice.

It's really nice, though there aren't many food booths, so the lines get long.

I remember a ton of termites last year when it got dark. With the termites swarming the way they have been already this year, that could be an issue.

I love the food at Greek Fest but I haven't been in 2 years because I've been going to Bayou Fest instead.
