I think Staubach is the best NFL quarterback ever.

Actually, what inspired me to make this thread was hearing Bayliss and Stephen A. Smith just argue about whether or not Romo is a Top 5 QB.

Personally, I would vote Staubach, but just curious the board's thoughts.

Captain America

He was the heart/soul of those teams and yeah, he has 2 SB loses but the Steelers were a juggernaut.

You get the feeling Aikman was never the heart and soul of the Boys - Irvin or Emmitt...probably Irvin was the straw that stirred that drink.

I think that title goes to Moose Johnston.

Brady
Brees
Rogers
Peyton
Eli

Just tell me who we are removing. And pre-emptive... you can't put romo above eli... can't.

If you just go by stats, then Romo is a top 5 Qb. He had the 4th highest passer rating last year along with the 3rd highest completion percentage.

Im not saying he is a top 5 Qb, but if you go by stats alone, its hard to argue that he isn't a top 5 Qb.

Troy Aikman is the definition of someone who was along for the ride. Put him on any other team and his career is no better than Neil O'Donnell

Its not always the Qbs fault that they lose. And Romo is 47-30 as a starter. Not bad.

Staubach. You also have to remember he didn't play for four years out of college because of his service commitment to the Navy. Then again, that's what caused him to be drafted by the Cowboys so low.

No i didn't. He's in the 5-8 battle with Romo, Stafford, Big Ben and company. He's not top 5. How many playoff wins schaub has?
