Favorite intro to an album?

one of my favorite recent ones would have to be sleeping lessons by the shins from wincing the night away

when the drums, guitar and bass kick in... love it

studio version

Intro of live banter between NOFX and crowd on their "I heard they suck live" album.

I also liked the intros to KISS Alive and Alive II

re: Favorite intro to an album?

I want to take this a different direction and tell you my favorite intro to a hip-hop/rap album. The intro to Juvenile's 400 Degreez album is my absolute favorite. Manny Fresh's funky/head bobbing beat combined with his humor make this intro the best on a Cash Money album, IMO. The intro to this southern rap classic hits me in all the right places.

This was not my favorite album intro of all time across all genres but one people should check out assuming they havent already heard this classic.

ETA: Intro

Only a Lad by Oingo Boingo

There's just something catchy about those horns in the first seven seconds.
