as opposed to Minnesota or Jacksonville

Lots of national TV exposure, they'll be talking about him all year, it's one of our key markets. Can't do anything by help our cause in Big D.

Brockers not so much immediate effect, but the Rams got a steal vs Cox and Poe who went earlier.

True, and them trading up that far definitely will be a selling point.

Off topic: regarding Poe, there is no way I take a player that I need to worry about "motivating" in the first round.

Never heard anything about needing to "motivate" Poe, just to "develop" him.

I think when it's all over, Mo is going to get more mentions than any other player. Luck and RG3 got theirs early, Trent went to Cleveland, nuff said. Who cares about JAX and MIN.

Like or hate the Cowboys, they're still arguably the most talked about team in the NFL, and they WANTED Mo bad. He's just got to be grinning ear to ear about this.

Could not agree more.

How is this for a selling point to recruits over the next year:

Les Miles - "Come to DBU and be the No. 5 pick in the NLF draft, just like Mo and Peterson."

Yeah I wonder how that's sounding now to Tracy Howard. Who in the heck was advising him?

If TM goes top 10 next year, then you have some real skins on the wall.

Dallas is one of the most visible/televised franchises. He and the LSU name will be talked about for years.

I am just sad he is in Dallas because I find the thought of cheering for the Cowboys or the Falcons abhorrent.

His knock was that he was lazy in college despite being a physical freak.

So, does that mean Mark Ingram is hurting our chances of signing nola RBs?

It's cool and all, but I think him being drafted 6th overall is what's going to help recruiting, not so much where.

DBU is not done yet.

Pull for Taylor and Brooks to come off the boards today.

Could you imagine if Brooks comes off in the 2nd round.

"Don't worry Mom, 2nd string at DBU gets you 2nd round NFL money".

don't forget Brockers is a Houston guy. we covered both Dallas and Houston in this draft. This is as good as it gets for Texas recruiting.

not to mention that I didn't hear UT at all. first round guys from state of Texas. Brockers, Luck, tannehill, RG3, wr from baylor etc. none went to ut. morale- don't worry about who ut recruits, there is plenty of talent left in Texas.

I'd especially like to see LSU pull more QB's out of Texas.

The run on Texas High School QB's lately has been impressive.
