With four weekends to go, its essentially a four teams race to the SEC Championship. Four teams are above .500. Division champs get byes in SEC Tourney. By record, UK has the easiest path and Florida the toughest. All four teams have a series remaining against one of the "top four".

LSU (12-6)
Georgia (8-10)
at Ole Miss (9-9)
Vandy (7-11)
at SC (11-7)
Overall 35-37

Kentucky (13-5)
at Vandy (7-11)
Florida (11-7)
Bama (6-12)
at MS State (8-10)
Overall 32-40

Florida (11-7)
Arkansas (9-9)
at Kentucky (13-5)
MS State (8-10)
at Auburn (7-11)
Overall (37-35)

South Carolina (11-7)
Bama (6-12)
at Arkansas (9-9)
at Georgia (8-10)
LSU (12-6)
Overall (35-37)

Nice job. Thanks for the info.

Kentucky has done it through the meat of their schedule. I think it will look much like it does now when it is all said and done.

I just hope LSU goes 2-3 each series the rest of the way. That puts us at that magical 20-10 SEC record.

If LSU wins the west they will either get 1 or 2 seed. The division champs get top 2 seeds.

Arkansas at 9-9 is probably the "best of the rest" and has the offensive power to knock off a good team (although they didn't show it at Ole Miss).

Florida has the power to hit double-digit home runs over a three-game series in that "East Ascension High School" ballpark at Kentucky.

Correct, division champs get #1 and #2 seeds and start SEC Tourney play a day later on Wednesday.

Being a former EA ball player, I take much offense to that statement. I believe our facilities at EA are probably on par with kentucky's.

Also, our field is much bigger (330' in corners, 375' alleys, 400' center) than kentuckys little league ball park.

I put many hours of work into that field!

Our SEC schedule has turned out to be extremely weighted against us this year with UF, UK, Ole Miss, and SC all being good and having to play them on the road. The only break we caught was Arky at home. If we go 20-10, that is a hell of an accomplishment even if we finish behind UK for the SEC crown.

I think looking at the race for the SEC is more important for us because being a 1 or 2 seed doesn't make to much difference in the tournament IMO. Also I think if we win the conference tourney we have a sure top 8 seed, as long as we are the division champs.

LSU (12-6)
Georgia (8-10)
at Ole Miss (9-9)
Vandy (7-11)
at SC (11-7)
Overall 35-37

Ole Miss(9-9)
@ MS State (8-10)
LSU (12-6)
Tennessee (7-11)
@ Vandy (7-11)
Overall 34-38

Arkansas(9-9)
@Florida (11-7)
South Carolina (11-7)
Auburn (7-11)
@Tenneesse (7-11)
36-36

I think we win the series against ole miss, hopefully sweep Vandy, and win the series against UGA.

USCe will be a tough series but there is chance that we win.

That is going to be very competitive, UGA is capable of taking 2/3 from any SEC team.

The little things in aggregate cost LSU Sunday.

I think the bye in the SEC Tourney is pretty important this year. The tourney is a day longer with the entry of 10 teams. Tuesday to Sunday (6 days) is a long stretch of games to play. Reducing it to 5 days with a bye can save some arms prior to the start of the sub-regionals.

And you're talking about starting the SEC tourney within only a few days (Saturday to Tues. or Wed.) after wrapping up the last SEC weekend series.

I'll be curious to see what PM's approach is? I'd expect that he'd treat it much like the mid-week games and throw several pitchers per game for only a couple of innings.

taking 5/6 from UGA & Vandy & 3/6 from Ole Miss & USCe will get us to 20-10 in the SEC. Gotta think that would be good enough for a BYE/Super if we don't go 0-2 n Hoover.

East Ascension's field is probably bigger than Kentucky's
