A petition for an official DVD to commemorate 2011 LSU football

Let's add to these
Despite what happened in the BCS title game, the 2011 LSU football team was arguably the greatest in school history.
They accomplished more than any other team in LSU history: perfect SEC record, numerous wins over top 25, 10, and 5 ranked teams, humiliating Florida, Auburn, Tennessee, and every other SEC team they played save for Bama (WHICH THEY DID BEAT), a Heisman finalist, coach of the year honors, etc.
This LSU team was being called the greatest in BCS history. One loss does not need to take away from that. I've been labeled a negatiger, but the further away from January 9th I get the more I really appreciate the awesome season that was 2011.
If the 2003 and 2007 teams can have official DVDs then this team should as well. This was a historic team with historic accomplishments.
Yes, there was one loss. Yes, the crystal isn't in BR, but this team was special nevertheless.
If the 2007 Patriots can have an official season in review recap then so to can the 2011 LSU Tigers.

Northwestern State Demons Won 49-3
Mississippi State Bulldogs Won 19-6
at West Virginia Mountaineers Won 47-21
Kentucky Wildcats Won 35-7

FINAL POINT: The 2001 SEC championship team got an official VHS tape to commemorate their accomplishments.

I say wait to see if we win it all this year and make a commemorative DVD on the 2011 AND 2012 team. The stories would fit together. Especially the awful defeat and motivation we got from it.

I just think the BCS game takes away from what was remarkable and SHOULD be remembered and commemorated.

A Tale of 2 Seasons.
That video is literally the only reason I won't throw away my old VCR.
I don't understand why teams don't do a video to commemorate every season. I would buy every single one.
Who wouldn't want a video that highlighted the win in the Swamp and the Bluegrass Miracle in 2002? The comeback against Florida and AB destroying Ole Miss in 04? The Bama game 05? The Zona/UK/UT/Ark games in 06?
I love that most bowl games are sold now, but every season has great memories that should be commemorated.
The fans deserve it, and the cost to the program would be virtually nothing, as evidenced by that godawful POS Heart of Geauxld.

While the accomplishments of the 2011 team prior to 1/9 were very special, it doesn't change the fact that LSU is a perrenial national powerhouse with 2 fairly recent NCs.
IMO, you can't go backward. Just like buying a house or a piece of jewelry for your SO. Once you buy the really nice stuff, you shouldn't celebrate going backward (although it is still probably very nice stuff).
If Bama did this, all of you would be crushing them...& rightfully so.

there's nothing wrong with celebrating an SEC championship
like Lacour said...we did in 2001 and we had 3 losses that year. One of which was to Ole Miss at home

we should remember 1/9/12 like the Alamo...absolute disaster that must be used as fuel to never allow again!!!

I LITERALLY was just about to make a thread asking if there is a DVD of all of the games from the past season. I watched the Rueben highlight video that someone posted yesterday and I got all nostalgic and warm fuzzied. That being said, this thread x100000.
