he'll be better than all three
...just like Bregman will go down as the best ever.... (flavor of the year) There all great....let's just leave it at that....

re: Hitting: Do you look fastball and adjust to the offspeed, - Billy Ray Valentine
Hitters fight off pitches all the time without the intention of putting it in play as they swing.
OK, whatever. I'm not trying to argue with you, but that's just not true. It is EXTREMELY rare & ridiculously difficult to read a pitch and intentionally foul it off....

fyi....fighting off a pitch is not the same as intentionally fouling it off....
You think it can't happen intentionally?
I'll bet you everything in your bank account that he wasn't intentionally trying foul pitches off instead of putting them in play....
Bret Barbier
wow
he just kept fouling them off until he got what he wanted
do you honestly think he was intentionally fouling the balls off & not trying to put them in play?...

re: Hitting: Do you look fastball and adjust to the offspeed, - Billy Ray Valentine
totally depends on the situation Anyone that answers this without at least asking what the count is should be discredited. Pitcher tendencies also important, but the count is most important (unless it's a thumber that throws a bunch of change ups/slow curves...even behind in the count)....
D1 Baseball.com ranks LSU 9th again
Honestly, give one legitimate reason why this should ruffle even one feather. I truly hope you're being sarcastic....

re: Was/Is the SEC really that good or was/is it really just Meyer/Saban? - Billy Ray Valentine
I'm an SEC homer.....but the bias is super strong in here. Understandable, I guess. Assuming wins is just foolish. Look no further than OSU in the playoff.....given virtually no chance in either game....
You had two different coaches take Auburn to the national title game and Miles take LSU twice.
probably the most valid point is AU & we discussed that. One of those LSU teams (the one that won) was heavily influenced by Saban The other was a very good team that got drummed by...Saban...
UGA probably would've crushed ND too in 2012
& there's no way bama will lose to an OSU team that barely made it into the playoff & lost to (gasp) 6-6 VaTech...

Was/Is the SEC really that good or was/is it really just Meyer/Saban? - Billy Ray Valentine
Had this discussion with a group of CFB fans with various team/conference ties & it's not outlandish if you're unbiased. SEC won 7 MNC's in a row from 2006-2012 & 7 of the past 9. Five of those are Meyer or Saban. Saban won with LSU 3 yrs prior to that run. SEC has been the clearcut media da...
U.S. falls behind on exercise, gets fatter
for the aggregate population it has much more to do with shitty diet/eating habits than lack of exercise ....and fat people are fu@king gross ....and the situation is gettting worse & worse (obviously)...
Which teams? Over the past 7 years, besides LSU and Auburn, which teams have won the division? Have succeeded while LSU seemingly stood in one place?
LSU, AU, ARK, MsSt, UF, UGA, bama The facts are that over the past 7yrs there have been 14 BCS slots filled by SEC teams. LSU has ea...
